I really enjoyed building this or I thought I did. The build was all the usual voyage of discovery, the bike hadn't ran since the '70's, it was incomplete and the whole build evolved as I kept changing my mind on where I was going with it but it ended up as a sort of dirt bike, tracker hybrid and it runs. I was stoked when I finally sussed out what was the big issue stopping it for so long. turned out to be that the timing gears where from an earlier bike so none of the timing marks matched up. I went back to basics and with a dial gauge and a chopstick and a timing disk plus some voodoo and shit it kicked up and fired second kick. I did my victory dance and was happy. It's sat being ignored for an age. It still runs but ............. I'n gonna revisit it and go back to what I wanted from it in the first place. A chopper, the kind that was doing the rounds in the early days nothing radical just some high bars, a bolt on hard tail some paint on a mustang tank. No show winner but a decent ride it whenever type of bike. We'll see how it turns out.
